The sad part about the whole thing in America is that nothing has changed in its over two-hundred years of existence. We’re still the same today as it was after the Great Depression and before it. Nothing changes. Wages are still in steep competition with the cost of living that ever increases, and many people today are struggling just as much, if not more, than those poor and middle class families of the Great Depression era. Nothing changes. The rich just keep on getting wealthier and wealthier, while the little guy is left out in the cold to starve and fend for himself, even if it means turning nasty and “fighting off the wolves” to survive. I bid to say that in a few short years people will ultimately stoop to theft as a permanent way of life to survive, but oh, that already exists just not on the widened scale that is coming.
I am not afraid to say that one day in our nation alone all humans who consider themselve poor and desolate without government help will be rounded up, hearded into camps, branded, and catalogued for future reference in their search for help. Nothing changes. We just keep on getting worse off than the generation before, not better. Many people are still trying to have what their parents and grandparents had, but never knowing the truth about who they were, and how they achieved happiness in this world.
Many seek happiness, but without a firm foundation in the truth, most will never find it in this lifetime. Not even the “perfect” job will create that, because there is no such thing as the “perfect job.” I heard it said once that “the pasture is always greener on the other side, but when one finally makes it across the fence to the other side, they only find out that it’s just been freshly mowed. And that’s how it is today in America. When our ship finally comes in, chances are, we’re waiting at the airport.
